Roles & Responsibilities

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Technical Writer to join our team! In this role you will get to support the center of excellence to develop and publish key policies, procedures, guidance used across a large complex program in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Support the team leader in proactively and thoroughly preparing, checking and correcting formatting of documentation in line with program branding guidelines, checklists and industry best practices.
  • Verifying the accuracy of information within documents, including and not limited to figures, tables, document references, captions and claims.
  • Reorganizing sentences and paragraphs in collaboration with document authors to improve legibility, storytelling and logical flow.
  • Drafting or updating best practice templates as required.
  • Maintaining a consistent style, tone, and voice throughout the document and aligning it with the specified style guide.
  • Supporting ad-hoc center of excellence initiatives and projects by utilizing their respective skillset.
  • Preparing reports to update committees and management as required.
  • Drafting guidance and manuals on proofreading and editing best practices.
  • Working with multiple stakeholders and consultants to ensure timely publication of documents.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelors degree in any related field
  • At least 6 years experience in a related position, such as editing or preparing publications, drafting governance-related policies and procedures, etc.
  • Takes pride in their work and has a passion for delivering excellence.
  • A strong eye for details to spot grammatical/punctuation errors, inconsistency with branding guidelines and improper document formatting.
  • Excellent software application skills in preparing and formatting documentation and presentations to a high standard consistent to the organization s branding guidelines.
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office software (Adobe, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Word).
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders (internal and external).
  • Comfortable and adaptable working in a fluid, fast-paced and challenging environment.

  • Microsoft and Adobe application training and certificates where applicable

Desired Candidate Profile
