Job description
Overall Job Purpose:
Oversee the complete financial management for a leading manufacturing company in the Middle East, ensuring asset protection, enhancing financial efficiency, controlling costs, and ensuring compliance with financial and accounting regulations. Additionally, support senior management in strategic decision-making through detailed financial analysis and comprehensive reporting related to the business group in which the contracting party is involved.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning and Management:
1. Prepare the annual financial plan in alignment with strategic objectives.
2. Oversee the preparation of general budgets and ensure adherence to them.
3. Establish and regularly update financial and accounting policies and procedures.
4. Provide recommendations to senior management regarding improving financial position and profitability and resource allocation.
Accounting Management:
5. Oversee the preparation of accounting entries and financial statements according to established standards.
6. Review and approve monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
7. Supervise routine inventory operations to ensure accuracy.
8. Manage supplier and employee accounts and ensure the safety of financial assets.
9. Monitor cash flow and ensure the integrity of banking records and reconciliations.
10. Ensure compliance with the preparation and verification of all data related to value-added tax declarations and ensure its compliance with what is recorded in the accounting system.
11. Assist in preparing the final accounts and consolidating the general budget for the company and the specific business group of the contracting party to accurately reflect the financial position of the company.
Financial Analysis and Reporting:
12. Prepare financial and analytical reports (quarterly and annual).
13. Analyze operational costs and monitor variances between actual and budgeted, and take corrective actions.
14. Evaluate the financial performance of various departments within the business group and propose appropriate improvements.
15. Prepare cash flow analyses and monthly financial forecasts and investigate cash shortfalls (if any) to ensure adequate liquidity.
Cost Control and Efficiency:
16. Analyze the cost structure and oversee the determination of final product costs.
17. Participate in determining costing policies in coordination with the management and the operating units.
18. Monitor operational expenditures and projects and ensure the efficiency of spending.
19. Review and validate pricing proposals submitted by all suppliers after calculating quantities and pricing from the operational management and project management.
Risk Management and Compliance:
20. Evaluate and manage financial and operational risks that may affect the stability of the company and all operations in which the contracting party is involved.
21. Ensure full compliance with accounting, tax, and government regulations (such as zakat and taxes).
22. Oversee internal and external audits and coordinate with the auditing firms.
23. Develop internal control systems to minimize errors and financial discrepancies.
Funding and Liquidity Management:
24. Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions and provide the necessary funding for operations or projects.
25. Monitor bank loans and ensure compliance with repayment schedules.
26. Develop cash management plans to ensure the stability of cash flows.
27. Improve collection and payment policies to achieve optimal financial balance.
Financial Systems Development:
28. Oversee the implementation of financial management systems and their updates.
29. Ensure the integration of financial systems with operational and production systems.
30. Develop financial analysis and forecasting tools using digital tools and modern technology.
Skills
Proficient in using computers and Microsoft Office applications and accounting software
Knowledge of accounting principles and financial policies and regulations
Familiarity with other operational policies (operations, production, procurement, information technology, marketing, human resources)
Advanced financial analysis skills and deep understanding of financial statements and economic indicators, and ability to write reports and presentations for senior management
Strong experience in preparing strategic financial budgets and reports
Ability to develop effective financial policies and improve internal controls
Excellent negotiation and communication skills in dealing with banks, suppliers, and employees
Ability to think strategically and make informed decisions based on financial analysis
Integrity, transparency, and high ethics in handling sensitive financial information
