A company operating in the field of digital payments, POS, and ecommerce fulfillment services announces its need to hire an Executive Operations Manager with practical experience in the payments, POS, or fintech sectors to lead and manage the company operationally and administratively, ensuring operational efficiency, merchant network growth, settlement accuracy, service quality, and daily process governance.

Purpose of the job:

To lead and manage the company operationally and administratively, supervising all daily activities related to merchants, POS, settlements, technical support, technical team, accounting, reporting, and operational risks, ensuring the company’s objectives and growth in an orderly and secure manner.

 

Responsibilities:

 

- Manage the company's daily operations end-to-end.

- Oversee the merchant network, POS, and e-shipment services.

- Monitor sales, collections, commissions, and daily settlements.

- Review variances between the system, merchants, accounts, and banks.

- Supervise the operations, support, sales, and customer service teams.

- Coordinate with the finance team to ensure accuracy of revenues, expenses, merchant balances, and settlements.

- Coordinate with the technical team and service providers to resolve outages and develop the system.

- Establish and implement internal operating procedures for settlements, permissions, complaints, support, and reconciliations.

- Follow up on merchant and customer complaints and ensure closure within the defined time.

- Prepare periodic reports to management on operational and financial performance.

- Monitor key performance indicators for sales, outages, complaints, activation, collections, and profitability.

- Propose development and expansion plans to increase the number of merchants and POS.

- Manage relations with banks, payment companies, service providers, and telecoms.

- Monitor compliance with regulatory and supervisory procedures related to payments activity.

- Manage operational, technical, and financial risks associated with daily operations.

- Ensure there is a permission and control system that prevents errors or manipulation in operations or merchant balances.

- Submit periodic reports to the owner or board of directors on operating results, challenges, and recommendations.

 

Requirements:

 

- At least 7 years of experience in digital payments, POS, payment gateways, banks, fintech, telecoms, or e-commerce fulfillment.

- Prior experience in a managerial or leadership position within an operational activity related to merchants or payments.

- Practical experience in POS Operations / Payment Operations / Merchant Operations / Digital Payments / Settlement Operations.

- Proficient in English, spoken and written.

- Strong ability to manage teams, analyze problems, and make decisions.

- Good understanding of daily settlements, operational variances, merchant complaints, permissions, and operational risks.

- Ability to read financial and operational reports and monitor profitability and costs.

- Proficient in Excel and reporting/monitoring tools.

- Preference for those with experience in the Saudi market or dealings with banks or payments companies.

 

Preferred qualifications:

 

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.

- Experience managing a network of merchants or multiple POS.

- Experience in building internal operating procedures and regulatory policies.

- Good knowledge of payments concepts, settlements, commissions, wallets, POS, and merchant services.
