Summary:
As a Government Relations Officer, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining positive relationships with government agencies, officials, and other relevant stakeholders to advocate for the organization's interests and ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
Job Responsibility:
1. Develop and implement government relations strategies to support the organization's goals and objectives.
2. Monitor legislative and regulatory developments that could impact the organization and make recommendations for action.
3. Represent the organization in meetings with government officials, industry associations, and other relevant groups.
4. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure compliance with government regulations and reporting requirements.
5. Prepare and submit required documentation to government agencies in a timely and accurate manner.
6. Build and maintain a network of contacts within the government and industry to stay informed of key issues and opportunities.
7. Identify potential risks and opportunities related to government relations and provide recommendations to senior management.
Candidate Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Law, or related field.
2. Proven experience working in government relations, public affairs, or a related field.
3. In-depth knowledge of government structures, processes, and regulations.
4. Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
5. Ability to analyze complex issues and develop strategic solutions.
