Grand Malabar is looking for a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Helper to join our Indian restaurant kitchen team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist chefs in daily kitchen operations
- Wash, peel, and cut vegetables, meat, and other ingredients
- Support preparation of Indian dishes (gravies, rice, breads, etc.)
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, workstations, and storage areas
- Wash utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards
- Assist with stock arrangement and basic inventory tasks
- Dispose of kitchen waste properly
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Head Chef or Kitchen Supervisor
Skills
Requirements:
- Previous experience in an Indian restaurant kitchen is an advantage
- Basic knowledge of Indian cooking ingredients and kitchen practices preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Physically fit and able to stand for long hours
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Willingness to follow hygiene and safety rules
