Director of Data Science and Analytics

Responsibilities:


  • Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for data science and analytics initiatives, aligning with organizational goals and contributing to public policymaking.


  • Lead efforts in quantitative analysis and econometric modeling to provide insights into labor economics and inform solutions based on public policy.


  • Oversee the development and enhancement of a public labor statistics data portal, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and relevance of data for external stakeholders.


  • Identify and prioritize business use cases that can be addressed through data science and analytics, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive implementation.


  • Conduct research on labor market trends and public policy solutions, assessing the potential impact of proposed policies on workforce dynamics and social welfare.


  • Engage with government agencies, policy makers, and stakeholders to ensure data science initiatives align with national labor policies and address key labor market challenges.


  • Lead and mentor a team of data scientists, analysts, and researchers, fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and analytical excellence.


  • Effectively communicate research findings, analytical insights, and data-driven recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, promoting a culture of data-driven decision-making.


Competencies:

  • Master’s degree in Economics, Econometrics, Statistics, Quantitative Finance, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
  • +10 years of experience.
  • Statistics & Machine Learning.
  • Customer & Product Insights.
  • Data Visualization & Storytelling.
  • Experimentation & A/B Testing.
  • Familiarity with CDPs and Product Analytics Tools.
  • Agile Environment Experience.
