Responsibilities
EHSS Strategy and Leadership:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive EHSS strategy aligned with organizational goals.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the EHSS team to ensure effective execution of initiatives.
- Monitor and report on EHSS performance, including key metrics, incidents, and regulatory compliance.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure full compliance with all local, regional, and international EHSS regulations and standards.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations and implement necessary changes in company policies and procedures.
- Liaise with regulatory agencies and other relevant stakeholders on EHSS matters.
Risk Management:
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and risks across operations.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies and emergency response plans.
- Lead investigations into EHSS incidents, root cause analysis, and develop corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.
Safety Culture & Training:
- Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility across the organization.
- Design and deliver training programs to ensure all employees are aware of EHSS requirements and best practices.
- Ensure continuous improvement in EHSS behaviors, attitudes, and awareness through regular communications and campaigns.
Environmental Stewardship:
- Oversee the development and implementation of environmental sustainability initiatives.
- Manage waste disposal, pollution control, and conservation programs.
- Drive company efforts toward reducing the environmental footprint and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
Health & Security Management:
- Develop and oversee health and wellness programs aimed at promoting employee well-being.
- Implement security protocols to safeguard employees, facilities, and information.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on security issues and crisis management.
Incident Reporting and Analytics:
- Maintain detailed records of incidents, inspections, and compliance audits.
- Use data analytics to track trends and inform decision-making.
- Provide regular reports to senior management on EHSS performance and areas for improvement.
Budgeting & Resource Allocation:
- Manage the EHSS department’s budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources for maximum impact.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies and tools to enhance EHSS performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- +10 years of experience in a leadership EHSS role.
