About the Role:
Oversee and manage the real-time coordination of branch cluster operations, including grains storage, transportation, and distribution activities, ensuring operational alignment with centrally designed master planning. Address operational issues promptly, implement contingency plans, and provide timely communication and updates to the COO. Additionally, monitor key performance indicators, identify operational improvements, and co-lead initiatives to increase operational efficiency within branches.

Responsibilities
Cluster Coordination
Manage and oversee real-time coordination of grains storage, transport, and distribution activities across managed branches.
Utilize dashboards and real-time monitoring tools to ensure operational alignment with centrally designed master planning and operational plans.
Collaborate with the Maintenance department to address any operational issues promptly, ensuring seamless operations within branches.
Implement and lead contingency plans to address disruptions or delays in transportation operations, ensuring proactive solutions to maintain operational continuity.
Provide timely communication and updates to the COO regarding dispatch activities, fostering transparency and enabling informed decision-making.
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators related to operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Lead the identification of operational improvements within branches, ensuring optimal human capital allocation, utilization and harmonization of efforts, actively seeking cost-saving opportunities, and providing valuable insights to the Operations Excellence team and Operations Planning department.
With the support of the Strategic Management team, co-lead initiatives to increase operational efficiency in branches by introducing higher automation and reducing reliance on manual processes.
Serve as the focal point and company representative within the respective cluster/region.
Branch Performance Management
Oversee the performance of managed branches, monitoring key metrics such as rotation, throughput, efficiency, and satisfaction.
Conduct regular branch visits to assess operational processes, identify areas for improvement, and provide guidance and support to branch managers.
Collaborate with branch managers to develop and implement action plans to address performance gaps and optimize branch operations.
Provide training and development opportunities to branch staff to enhance their skills and capabilities.
Foster a culture of performance excellence by setting clear performance expectations, recognizing achievements, and implementing performance improvement initiatives.
Operational Risk Management and Compliance
Develop and implement risk management strategies and procedures to mitigate operational risks within the region.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies across all branches.
Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential areas of vulnerability and implement appropriate controls.
Collaborate with the Legal and Compliance departments to stay updated on regulatory changes and ensure adherence to legal and ethical standards.
Provide training and guidance to branch managers and staff on risk management practices, compliance requirements, and incident reporting procedures.
Monitor and investigate incidents or breaches of compliance, taking appropriate corrective actions and implementing preventive measures.
Establish a culture of risk awareness and compliance throughout the region, promoting ethical behavior and accountability.
Continuous Improvement
Champion a culture of continuous improvement across all operational units, and continuously seek opportunities for operational enhancements and cost efficiencies.
Collaborate with department heads to identify and implement operational efficiencies.
Regularly assess processes, procedures, and systems for opportunities to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
Develop and guide the implementation of the organizational policies to ensure they align with legal requirements, industry standards, and company strategic objectives as well as monitor and enforce policy compliance across all departments.
Oversee the implementation and maintenance of integrated systems that support efficient business operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in managing and overseeing regional dispatch operations, preferably in the Grains Storage and transportation industry.
- Minimum Diploma's , Bachelor's degree in operations management, supply chain management, or a related field.
