Roles and Responsibilities :
- Provide technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, peripherals, and software applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network problems in a timely manner.
- Perform system upgrades and updates as required.
- Assist in the maintenance of network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Monitor and ensure the security of IT systems, implementing best practices and security measures.
- Perform regular maintenance and monitoring of Linux and Windows servers to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Document IT processes, procedures, and solutions.
- Collaborate with other IT team members on projects and initiatives.
- Provide training and support to end-users on IT systems and software applications.
- Maintain printers and telephone systems, addressing any issues promptly.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Fluent in English.
- Proven experience as an IT Technician or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux servers, including Ubuntu.
- Familiarity with network protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Experience with hardware troubleshooting and repair.
- Knowledge of IT security best practices, including firewalls and port forwarding.
- Experience with DNS management and dedicated servers.
- Proficiency in routing and switching.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
