IT Support Specialist

Roles and Responsibilities :

  • Provide technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, peripherals, and software applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network problems in a timely manner.
  • Perform system upgrades and updates as required.
  • Assist in the maintenance of network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Monitor and ensure the security of IT systems, implementing best practices and security measures.
  • Perform regular maintenance and monitoring of Linux and Windows servers to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Document IT processes, procedures, and solutions.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members on projects and initiatives.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on IT systems and software applications.
  • Maintain printers and telephone systems, addressing any issues promptly.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
  • Fluent in English.
  • Proven experience as an IT Technician or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux servers, including Ubuntu.
  • Familiarity with network protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Experience with hardware troubleshooting and repair.
  • Knowledge of IT security best practices, including firewalls and port forwarding.
  • Experience with DNS management and dedicated servers.
  • Proficiency in routing and switching.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
