The purpose of this role is to lead Mace’s Cost Consultancy service offer in KSA, creating an environment that promotes our pro-active approach to Cost Consultancy, builds upon our existing capability and help establish us as a leading independent Cost Consultancy Practice. Client focus - Deliver on our promise: You will be accountable for managing, estimating, and cost planning including ownership of and presenting cost plans. You will lead the procurement process, ensuring stages including prequalification, enquiry, analysis, selection and contract preparation are performed effectively. You will lead the delivery of cost management services to deliver key strategic outcomes and KPIs, directly influencing strategic development of plans. Provide leadership to both our clients and the in-country cost team and be the face of Mace with all KSA clients in relation to cost consultancy. Develop new and existing client relationships and opportunities. Develop and maintain a consistent pipeline of new cost consultancy opportunities. Recruit, train and develop highly technical people to support the goal of technical excellence. Promote effective communication both within the team and with clients. Manage and liaise with the Head of Cost Consultancy to agree the in-country strategic direction for cost consultancy. Accountable for QAQC of the team deliverables and ensuring that best practice is implemented, whilst working closely with the specialist knowledge hub to make sure that we work in a smart and efficient manner. Promote the RICS internally and externally and actively encourage and support training and development of the team to reach chartered status. Prepare bids in conjunction with the bid team to showcase our capability and lead the presentation of our proposed offer to clients. Accountable for briefing the team on scope and ensuring that roles and responsibilities are clearly understood. Delegate tasks to the lowest levels possible to drive a culture of empowerment and responsibility. Be an active participant in the Middle East and India cost consultancy senior leadership team Support and sustain Mace’s core values and culture. Promote the highest standards of safety, health and wellbeing across the team. You’ll need to have: A degree in quantity surveying/cost management (or equivalent). Excellent communications skills. Professional membership i.e. MRICS/RICS (or equivalent) and moving towards fellowship, or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development. Experience with recognised international consultancy organisation. Necessary visa criteria for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and relevant work experience working on high-valued projects/programmes for a project management consultancy business, which are required for immigration and client approval. You’ll also have: Strong commercial and financial acumen. Sound knowledge of value engineering, life cycle costing, contract law and contractual frameworks relating to construction. Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams. Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders. Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working.
