Job Summary :Provide strategic leadership and direction over EF’s Impact Investment portfolio by defining investment frameworks, managing global GP relationships, and ensuring alignment with national economic and sustainability goals. Oversee execution of impact investments, localization initiatives, and partnerships with internal and external stakeholder including MEWA, the five National Centers, GPs, and government entities to achieve long-term financial and developmental objectives Responsibilities & Accountabilities :-Develop and implement the general department strategy that supports the Fund's overall strategic plan by analyzing internal and external factors influencing success.-Translate strategies into operational plans and collaborate with teams to identify initiatives supporting strategic objectives.-Define KPIs and success metrics to track progress and measure impact.-Contribute to EF’s investment roadmap, ensuring alignment with Vision 2030 and ESG mandates.-Direct the integration of localization and investment strategies to achieve cross-functional synergy.-Supervise the work of the department and evaluate team performance through continuous feedback and coaching.-Provide guidance, coaching, and on-the-job training for employees to enhance technical and leadership capabilities.-Develop succession and career plans that align with EF’s talent strategy.-Promote a culture of accountability, empowerment, and high performance.-Support in recruiting and developing top talent within investment and localization functions.-Prepare and propose the department’s budget, identifying key financial drivers and ensuring efficient resource allocation.-Control expenditures within the approved budget to ensure financial sustainability and operational efficiency.-Collaborate with other directors to align departmental budgets with the Fund’s overall financial plan.-Establish systems for continuous tracking and reporting on financial performance against targets.-Provide strategic direction and oversight for the design, implementation, and continuous refinement of EF’s impact investment strategy, ensuring alignment with the Fund’s vision, national economic transformation goals, and sustainability frameworks.-Develop and maintain robust frameworks for asset allocation, portfolio diversification, and fund selection to achieve optimal balance between financial returns, risk mitigation, and measurable social and environmental impact.-Oversee and supervise investment execution and fund performance monitoring, ensuring that impact and financial objectives are consistently achieved and aligned with approved mandates.-Direct and validate due diligence processes across new investments and co-investment opportunities, ensuring thorough financial, operational, and ESG assessments prior to approvals.-Encourage a culture of evidence-based decision-making through the use of analytics, scenario modeling, and benchmarking against global peers to enhance investment quality and resilience.-Collaborate with Treasury, Risk, and Legal departments to ensure seamless integration of risk management, compliance, and financial sustainability across all investment activities.-Promote innovation and continuous improvement by embedding sustainable finance principles, digital analytics, and international best practices into EF’s investment lifecycle.
Job Requirements:-Education :Bachelor’s Degree: Finance, Investment Management, Economics, or Business Administration (Master’s preferred).-Years of experience : +12 years of progressive experience in impact investment, asset management, or private equity.-Skills :Opportunity Identification and Development, Treasury and Liquidity Management, Investments Portfolio Management, Investment Planning and Development, Coaching and Internal Business Consulting, Market Research and Intelligence.
