Product Researcher Job Description Responsible for researching global markets and identifying high-potential products with strong sales opportunities. The role focuses on spotting trends, evaluating demand, analyzing competitors, and proposing winning product ideas that can be sourced or imported from China. Duties & Responsibilities Conduct deep research across global marketplaces (Amazon, Tik Tok Shop, Temu, Ali Express, Alibaba, Etsy, niche marketplaces). Identify trending products using advanced research tools (Jungle Scout, Helium10, Google Trends, Dropispy, Minea, Pipi Ads). Analyze competition levels, pricing strategies, product positioning, customer ratings, and review sentiment. Prepare detailed product evaluation reports including demand analysis, pricing averages, cost structure, expected margins, and market gaps. Validate product ideas using search volume, keyword difficulty, and competitive density indicators. Track seasonal trends, product cycles, and category-specific opportunities. Conduct feasibility assessments for importing products from China, including MOQ, supplier pricing, shipping cost, quality requirements, and logistics options. Communicate with sourcing teams to verify supplier reliability, collect samples, compare materials, and ensure quality compliance. Evaluate competitor weaknesses and propose product improvements or differentiations based on review analysis. Support brand development teams by providing insights for new packaging ideas, product bundles, and positioning strategies. Monitor product performance post-launch and recommend adjustments for future product cycles. Maintain an organized database of product ideas, risk assessments, margins, and supplier details.
