The Purpose of the Role
Manage smart city projects
from initiation and planning phases toward execution, monitor& control
phase till closing phase in order to provide best in class project management
solutions meeting stakeholder requirements within estimated financial
performance following the adequate project management methodologies and
practices
Responsibilities:
Overall
responsibility for executing smart city projects.
Main contact person for
day-to day smart city activities with all project stakeholders at the side
Strong Smart city knowledge
dealing with smart city platform and its integrations with multiple use cases
and city-wide smart city initiatives e.g., CAFM, ITS, smart mobility, waste
management, AC, CCTV, smart lighting, BMS, smart parking, smart metering,
district cooling, etc.
Participate in
project scope definition during bidding stage to ensure proper operational
estimation is included.
Lead the handing
over process from estimation team.
Develop detailed
project management plan with its respective domains (scope, time, cost,
resources, procurement, quality, communication, risk).
Execute projects
following best in class project management methodologies and practice.
Deliver the
projects on time, within scope with Zero or positive marginal improvement.
Manage change in
project scope through adding values to customer and variation orders following
adequate verification techniques.
Liaise internal
communication with resources and vendors for flawless project execution.
Manage external
communication, engagement, and relationship with project stakeholders to ensure
their positive influence on the project deliverables.
Develop
procurement plan to meet customer expectation.
Perform regular
risk assessment to determine threats and opportunities and develop adequate
risk response.
Track and monitor
projects performance using proper company tools and techniques.
Control variances
to the plan and develop recovery plan (if any is required).
Monitor monthly
projects financial performance measures (includes revenue recognition, margin,
invoicing as well as cash collection among other financial metrics.)
Build effective
communication and collaboration among the organization
Manage HSE
related project activities in coordination with HSE department.
WE VALUE<br/><br/>Master/bachelor’s
degree electrical engineering, computer, information technology or similar
field plus 10 + years of smart city experience.
Proven working
experience in smart city project management.
Project Management
Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
Proven ability to
manage large local team at the side, subcontractors and vendors.
Excellent
client-facing and internal communication skills
Excellent technical
written and verbal communication skills
Solid
organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
Thorough knowledge
of Projects field operations and financial processes.
The ability to
mobilize resources and develop and implement action plans / control mechanisms
to achieve desired results and deliver on commitments.
The ability to
build and maintain effective relationships with customers based on trust and
mutual understanding.
The ability to
embrace change and guide the team through periods of change in a positive and
proactive way.
The ability to
engage with customers utilizing the commercial knowledge to negotiate contracts
and cost with customers.
