About the Role

Marriott Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Government Mgr-Sales I to join the team in Jeddah. This full-time position is responsible for proactively identifying and managing sales opportunities, ensuring proper and timely handover for service delivery. The role focuses on building long-term, value-based customer relationships to achieve sales objectives and personal sales goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with off-property sales channels to ensure coordinated and complementary sales efforts.
• Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers through sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, and trade shows to secure future bookings.
• Develop community relationships to expand the customer base for sales opportunities.
• Manage and develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide accurate, complete, and effective turnover to Event Management.
• Participate in sales calls with team members to acquire new business and close deals.
• Execute and support operational aspects of booked business, including generating proposals, writing contracts, and customer correspondence.

Market Analysis and Revenue Maximization

• Identify new business opportunities to achieve personal and location revenue goals.
• Understand the overall market, including competitors' strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, and supply and demand, to position sales effectively.
• Close the most opportune deals for the location based on market conditions and needs.
• Gain an understanding of the location's primary target customer and service expectations to offer tailored business solutions.

Customer Service Excellence

• Support the company’s service and relationship strategy, fostering customer loyalty through service excellence.
• Service customers to increase account share.
• Execute and support the company’s customer service standards.
• Provide excellent customer service consistent with daily service basics.
• Set a positive example for guest relations and interact with guests to gather feedback on product quality and service levels.
