The Opportunity

As an Apigee X Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, securing, and optimizing enterprise-scale APIs within a modern Google Cloud environment.

You will collaborate with platform teams, cloud engineers, security specialists, and business stakeholders to deliver highly secure and scalable API solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain API proxies using Apigee Develop and manage enterprise-grade APIs throughout their lifecycle Implement API security controls including OAuth2, JWT, m TLS, threat protection, and traffic management Configure Shared Flows, KVMs, Flow Hooks, Target Servers, and reusable API components Troubleshoot and optimize API performance, reliability, and scalability Support API governance and best-practice implementation Participate in CI/CD deployment and automation initiatives Collaborate with engineering and cloud teams across a large transformation programme Contribute to API platform modernization and migration initiatives, including Apigee X

Required Experience

Must Have

7+ years of API Management and API Engineering experience Strong hands-on experience with Apigee Strong experience with API development and API lifecycle management Expertise in REST APIs, API security, and integration patterns Experience implementing OAuth2, JWT, API Key, and traffic management policies Extensive Apigee X experience & Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience Google Cloud Professional Apigee Engineer Certification Bachelor's Degree (required for work visa processing) Ability to relocate to Dhahran, Saudi Arabia Notice period of 30 days or less

Perfect Candidate looks like:

Experience within Banking, Financial Services, Fin Tech, Telecommunications, Utilities, or other critical infrastructure environments CI/CD automation experience for Apigee deployments Experience managing large-scale enterprise API programmes

We're looking for specialists and not generalists. The ideal candidate will have spent the majority of their recent career working with the below, rather than candidates whose experience is primarily focused on AWS API Gateway, Azure API Management, Mule Soft, or other API management platforms:
