We are looking for an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and optimize enterprise IT infrastructure environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience across servers, virtualization, cloud platforms, storage, networking, backup, and infrastructure security , with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and ensure high availability and performance of critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Manage Windows Server and/or Linux systems, including patching, upgrades, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Administer virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere/ESXi, Hyper-V, or equivalent technologies .
• Support cloud and hybrid-cloud environments, particularly Microsoft Azure and/or AWS .
• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and related Microsoft infrastructure services .
• Configure and maintain enterprise storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions .
• Support LAN/WAN infrastructure and coordinate with network and security teams when required.
• Monitor infrastructure availability, capacity, and performance and proactively address potential issues.
• Implement infrastructure security standards, access controls, system hardening, vulnerability remediation, and patch management.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
• Participate in high-availability, disaster recovery, migration, upgrade, and infrastructure transformation projects .
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, procedures, and operational standards.
• Automate routine infrastructure activities using tools such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, or infrastructure automation platforms .
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
• Work closely with application, cybersecurity, network, database, and cloud teams to ensure reliable service delivery.
• Follow ITIL-based processes for incident, problem, change, and configuration management.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering , or a related field. 3+ years of experience in IT infrastructure/system engineering, including significant experience in enterprise environments. Strong hands-on knowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux administration . Strong experience with VMware, Hyper-V, or similar virtualization technologies . Good knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and identity/access management . Experience with Azure, AWS, or hybrid-cloud infrastructure . Understanding of enterprise networking concepts including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancing . Experience with enterprise SAN/NAS storage, backup, replication, and disaster recovery solutions . Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring and management tools. Strong understanding of high availability, business continuity, security, and infrastructure best practices . Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and root-cause-analysis skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in business-critical environments. Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, VMware VCP, Red Hat RHCE, Microsoft, Cisco, or ITIL .
• Experience with infrastructure automation using PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, Python, or Bash .
• Experience supporting large-scale, highly available enterprise environments .
• Knowledge of container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is an advantage.
