Job Details

Maintains service operations by inspecting and maintaining vehicles. Main duties include using tools to find any potential issues with someone s vehicle, explains problems with the car to the driver and performing maintenance on the car to fix it or prevent it from future breakdowns or issues.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Ensure that the job card is issued with details of the repair work to be carried out.
  • Ensures that protective covers are used in all vehicles before carrying out any repairs.
  • Should maintain accurate time recording (clocking on and off) for all repairs.
  • Perform brakes, suspension, tire installation, scheduled maintenance, and all manner of automotive repairs and maintenance that you are qualified to perform
  • Secure our guest's approval to perform the work because of the diagnosis, and always maintain a clean, neat work area
  • Complete thorough automotive vehicle inspections on every vehicle you service, and perform any repairs and maintenance
  • Test drive guest vehicles and use our shop truck in a safe manner to pick up inventory as needed
  • Repair brake and steering systems.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic systems.
  • Replace or repair transmissions and fuel components as needed.
  • Repair cooling components and the system, including air conditioners and engine cooling.
  • Perform emissions inspections, safety checks, and similar state-regulated vehicle examinations.
  • Maintain a clean, safe working environment.
  • Produce legible and accurate paperwork reflecting work performed.
  • Identify problems with vehicles using the diagnostic equipment.
  • Explain automotive repairs and issues, and provide great customer service.
  • Perform basic auto care and maintenance tasks such as oil changes, fluid level checks, and tire rotation.
  • Repair and replace brake pads, wheel bearings, sensors, and other parts.
  • Perform routine maintenance and general mechanic work on vehicles.
  • Prepared to get additional certification as needed.
  • Willingness to learn with hands-on training.
  • Help keep the repair shop clean and organized.
  • Keep a professional appearance.
