Manage the daily operations of the housekeeping department, including guest rooms, public areas, laundry, and storage areas. Develop work schedules and assign duties to housekeeping staff to ensure efficient operations. Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate housekeeping team members. Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and quality standards are maintained. Ensure all housekeeping activities comply with company policies, health and safety regulations, and brand standards. Coordinate with the Front Office, Maintenance, and other departments to ensure timely room availability and guest satisfaction. Respond promptly to guest requests, concerns, and complaints, ensuring effective resolution. Monitor housekeeping supplies, linens, uniforms, and equipment, and manage inventory efficiently. Prepare and manage departmental budgets while controlling labor and operating costs. Oversee preventive maintenance reporting and ensure housekeeping equipment is properly maintained. Maintain accurate departmental records, reports, and performance metrics. Promote a positive work environment focused on teamwork, productivity, and continuous improvement.
Desired Candidate Profile
Diploma or bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, or a related field is preferred. Minimum of 3 5 years of housekeeping experience, including supervisory or management experience. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning techniques, and hotel operations. Familiarity with property management systems (PMS) and Microsoft Office applications. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, when required.
