On behalf of our client, we are looking for an Assistant Consultant - Internal Medicine job summary: Provide consultant-level internal medicine care for home healthcare patients through assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, chronic disease management, telemedicine, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and reduce hospital readmissions. Responsibilities & Duties: 1- Patient Assessment & Clinical Management u2022 Conduct comprehensive medical assessments for patients through home visits and virtual consultations. u2022 Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions based on evidence-based practices. u2022 Develop and implement individualized care plans, including medication management, referrals, and lifestyle modifications. u2022 Identify high-risk patients and initiate interventions to prevent complications and hospital readmissions. u2022 Provide patient and family education regarding medical conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care. u2022 Coordinate care with specialists and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care. 2- Quality Assurance & Clinical Compliance u2022 Ensure compliance with clinical guidelines, healthcare regulations, and accreditation standards. u2022 Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and patient care enhancement programs. u2022 Maintain accurate clinical documentation and prepare required reports for audits and inspections. u2022 Promote safe, ethical, and professional clinical practices among healthcare staff. 3- Professional Development & Clinical Education u2022 Participate in medical education activities, case discussions, and training sessions. u2022 Provide clinical guidance, mentorship, and supervision to medical staff. u2022 Support the development of clinical pathways, care protocols, and educational materials for home healthcare services. u2022 Maintain continuous professional development through conferences, workshops, and CME activities. 4- Health Information System (HIS) & Documentation u2022 Utilize HIS platforms for patient documentation, electronic medical records, and virtual consultations. u2022 Ensure complete, accurate, and timely recording of patient information in compliance with MOH and organizational standards. u2022 Participate in HIS training programs and collaborate with IT teams to resolve technical issues. 5- Patient Safety & Satisfaction u2022 Implement patient safety protocols and ensure adherence to clinical safety standards. u2022 Identify and report patient safety risks, incidents, and adverse events. u2022 Address patient concerns and ensure effective communication with patients and caregivers. u2022 Monitor patient satisfaction and contribute to improving patient experience outcomes. 6- Healthcare Team Collaboration u2022 Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver patient-centered care. u2022 Facilitate communication between healthcare professionals regarding patient conditions and care plans. u2022Support timely referrals and escalation of care when required. u2022 Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement within the home healthcare environment.
Desired Candidate Profile
Saudi Male. Medical degree (MD) with completed Internal Medicine Residency. SCFHS registration as an Internal Medicine Senior Registrar. 1-3 years of experience in Internal Medicine. Experience in home healthcare or telemedicine is preferred. Proficiency in Health Information Systems (HIS) and Electronic Health Records (EHR). Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient care skills. Fluent in Arabic and English. ICU or HDU experience is an advantage.
