About the Role

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in Riyadh is seeking a Professor of Biomedical Sciences for a full-time position. This role provides academic leadership in biomedical sciences, encompassing graduate-level teaching, research supervision, and the development of innovative research programs aligned with the institution's priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, organize, and deliver graduate-level teaching in assigned biomedical disciplines, such as molecular biology, genomics, immunology, biochemistry, and bioinformatics.
• Design and implement curricula that meet international academic standards and Ministry of Education (MOE) requirements.
• Contribute to the development of interdisciplinary programs and strategic academic initiatives.
• Establish and lead independent and collaborative research programs consistent with KFSHRC's research priorities.
• Secure competitive research funding and publish a minimum of two publications per year in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals, as per Alfaisal University (AU) policy.
• Collaborate with clinical, translational, and research teams across KFSHRC and Alfaisal University.
• Supervise and mentor PhD and MD-PhD students, ensuring high-quality academic and research outcomes.
• Participate in faculty development and foster a collaborative academic environment.
• Mentor junior faculty and support their professional development.
• Participate in academic governance, including departmental, school, and institutional committees.
• Contribute to accreditation processes, quality assurance, and program evaluation in alignment with MOE and NCAAA standards.
• Adhere to all Hospital's related Policies and Procedures.
• Participate in self and others' education, training, and development, as applicable.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

• A PhD (or equivalent terminal degree) in a relevant biomedical science discipline from an accredited institution or other related discipline is required.
• A minimum of six (6) years of related experience post-doctoral degree is required.
