Job Details

  • Assist skilled mechanics in disassembling, repairing, and reassembling various types of pumps, ensuring all parts are handled with care.
  • Safely transport tools, equipment, and replacement parts to and from job sites, maintaining an organized and efficient workflow.
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks such as cleaning pump components, lubricating moving parts, and checking fluid levels under supervision.
  • Follow strict safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Identify and report any worn or damaged parts to the lead mechanic, contributing to proactive problem-solving.
  • Help with the installation of new pumps and related piping systems, ensuring correct alignment and secure connections.
  • Take accurate measurements and readings as directed, assisting in diagnostics and performance checks.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored and accounted for.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • High school diploma or equivalent education, providing a foundational understanding of mechanical principles.

  • Possession of a valid driver's license, enabling reliable transportation to diverse work locations.

  • Basic understanding of hand and power tools commonly used in mechanical repairs and maintenance.

  • Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings, schematics, and work orders.

  • Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, as well as work in various weather conditions and confined spaces.

  • Installs, services, and repairs water and sewage pumps and related controls.
