Are you an experienced IT Disaster Recovery (ITDR) Consultant with a passion for resilience, governance, and enterprise risk management? We re partnering with a leading organisation in Riyadh to hire an ITDR Consultant who will play a key role in strengthening enterprise resilience by assessing, designing, and governing Disaster Recovery capabilities across the organisation. This is a strategic advisory role focused on governance, operating models, risk assessment, documentation, and stakeholder engagement rather than hands-on infrastructure implementation.
What You ll Be Doing:
- Lead enterprise-wide IT Disaster Recovery (ITDR) risk assessments and maturity evaluations.
- Design and develop comprehensive Disaster Recovery Plans (DRPs) aligned to business-critical services.
- Define recovery strategies, Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs), Recovery Point Objectives (RPOs), and application recovery priorities.
- Perform technology dependency analysis and develop end-to-end recovery workflows and procedures.
- Establish and implement a Disaster Recovery Incident Management Framework (DRIMF), including incident governance, escalation models, crisis communications, and executive reporting.
- Develop an enterprise IT Disaster Recovery Operating Model covering governance structures, organisational roles, KPIs, KRIs, service metrics, and continuous improvement.
- Facilitate workshops with business and technology stakeholders to identify critical systems, dependencies, and recovery requirements.
- Produce high-quality documentation, governance artefacts, standards, policies, and operating procedures.
- Ensure Disaster Recovery capabilities align with international best practices and Saudi regulatory requirements.
- Support the development of Disaster Recovery maturity roadmaps and ongoing governance initiatives.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Proven experience delivering enterprise IT Disaster Recovery strategy, governance, and advisory engagements.
- Strong understanding of ITDR Risk Assessments and Business Impact Analysis (BIA).
- Experience developing Disaster Recovery Plans, recovery procedures, and governance frameworks.
- Knowledge of:
- Recovery strategies and recovery workflows
- RTO/RPO definition and management
- Critical application recovery mapping
- Technology dependency analysis
- Disaster Recovery governance and operating models
- Incident lifecycle management and escalation frameworks
- Incident classification, severity models, and crisis communication
- RACI matrices, executive reporting, and regulatory reporting requirements
- Lessons Learned processes and continual service improvement
- Experience designing enterprise operating models, governance structures, steering committees, KPIs, KRIs, and service metrics.
- Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, and documentation skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage senior business and technology leaders.
