Roles & Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate site activities. Read drawings and execute site activities as per drawings; check the quality of completed work. Directly supervise and manage civil construction crews, laborers, and tradesmen on-site for activities including earthworks, excavation, concrete works, formwork, reinforcement, block work, and finishing works for large-scale retail commercial, healthcare, residential and mixed-use projects. Ensure all civil works are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and method statements. Conduct continuous on-site inspections to monitor workmanship quality, productivity, and adherence to project standards. Coordinate daily work activities, resource allocation, and manpower deployment to ensure timely completion of tasks. Monitor and enforce strict compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations and safe working practices on site. Conduct daily toolbox talks and safety briefings with workers and subcontractors. Report daily progress, manpower attendance, material consumption, and site activities to the Site Engineer. Identify and resolve on-site issues, work delays, and quality concerns in coordination with the Site Engineer. Ensure proper use, maintenance, and storage of tools, equipment, and construction materials. Monitor material deliveries and verify quantities and quality upon receipt. Assist in setting out works, leveling activities, and dimensional checks as directed by the Site Engineer. Maintain site cleanliness, organization, and orderly work environment. Support quality control activities including concrete pour inspections, formwork checks, and reinforcement verification.
Desired Candidate Profile
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent technical qualification from a recognized institution. Minimum 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in civil construction supervision.
Proven experience working on large-scale retail commercial, healthcare, residential and mixed-use projects.
Strong background in supervising concrete works, formwork, reinforcement, earthworks, and general civil construction activities.
Certifications (Preferred):
Scaffolding supervisor certification (if applicable).
Language Requirements:
Proficiency in English is mandatory.
Arabic proficiency is preferred.
Strong verbal communication skills are essential for directing workers and coordinating with site teams.
Technical Skills:
Ability to read and interpret civil engineering drawings and construction details.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, material standards, and workmanship quality requirements.
Familiarity with site safety protocols and HSE regulations.
Basic understanding of construction specifications and Saudi Building Code (SBC).
Hands-on experience with site equipment, tools, and construction machinery.
