MPD Engineer (Managed Pressure Drilling / HPHT / Onshore) Location: Middle East (Onshore) Contract Type: Contractor Rotation: 35/35 Project Duration: 6 Months Mobilisation: Immediate Overview Performance Energy is supporting a major onshore development drilling campaign in the Middle East and is seeking experienced MPD Engineers to support HPHT drilling operations. This role is suited to technically strong MPD professionals capable of delivering pressure management support on complex drilling projects. Role Purpose The MPD Engineer will be responsible for supporting Managed Pressure Drilling operations, monitoring pressure control systems, optimising drilling performance, and ensuring safe operational execution throughout the drilling programme. Key Responsibilities Support onshore MPD operations in accordance with approved procedures Monitor and optimise pressure management systems Support drilling teams during HPHT operations Analyse drilling performance and operational data Ensure compliance with HSE and well control requirements Provide technical support during drilling operations Maintain accurate operational reporting and documentation Technical Project Context (Provided for clarity on operational scope) Operation Type: Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) Environment: Onshore Well Type: HPHT Development Wells Scope: Development drilling operations Focus: Pressure management, drilling optimisation, and well control Essential Experience Minimum 5 years experience as an MPD Engineer Strong MPD operational and engineering background Experience working on HPHT wells Previous Weatherford MPD experience Strong understanding of drilling and pressure management systems Preferred / Advantageous Background Experience supporting major operator drilling campaigns Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills Experience working in technically demanding drilling environments Ability to mobilise immediately Certifications (Mandatory) All relevant MPD certifications current and in date Well Control Certification Valid Medical Certification Additional Information 35/35 rotational assignment 6-month contract duration Immediate mobilisation required Economy class travel provided Opportunity to support a major Middle East development drilling project Why Performance Energy Performance Energy specialises in deploying experienced drilling and wellsite personnel into technically challenging operations worldwide.
