Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Project Execution & Production Management

    • Lead and manage all site MEP construction activities from mobilization through project completion.

    • Develop and implement detailed construction plans, work schedules, and resource allocation plans.

    • Monitor project progress and ensure achievement of project milestones and contractual deadlines.

    • Coordinate MEP works with civil, architectural, and other project disciplines.

    • Identify construction constraints and implement corrective actions to maintain project schedules.

    Site Management & Coordination

    • Supervise daily site operations and construction teams.

    • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site supervisors.

    • Conduct regular production and coordination meetings with internal and external stakeholders.

    • Ensure availability and effective utilization of manpower, materials, tools, and equipment.

    • Resolve site issues and technical challenges in a timely manner.

    Schedule Management

    • Prepare and monitor short-term and long-term construction schedules.

    • Track actual progress against baseline schedules.

    • Identify critical path activities and implement mitigation measures for delays.

    • Coordinate with planning engineers to maintain accurate progress reporting.

    Quality Management

    • Ensure compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, and quality standards.

    • Implement and monitor Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures.

    • Conduct inspections and ensure proper execution of installation works.

    • Monitor punch list items and ensure timely closure of defects.

    • Support testing, commissioning, and final handover activities.

    Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

    • Promote a strong safety culture across the project site.

    • Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and local regulations.

    • Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.

    • Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions when necessary.

    • Maintain a safe and productive working environment.

    Cost Control & Commercial Support

    • Monitor labor productivity and resource utilization.

    • Assist the Project Manager in controlling project costs and budgets.

    • Review subcontractor work progress and payment applications.

    • Minimize rework, material wastage, and construction inefficiencies.

    • Support variation and claims management activities when required.

    Testing, Commissioning & Handover

    • Coordinate pre-commissioning, testing, and commissioning activities.

    • Ensure all MEP systems are fully operational and compliant with project requirements.

    • Coordinate inspections with clients, consultants, and authorities.

    • Manage project close-out documentation and handover processes.

    • Support obtaining Taking-Over Certificates (TOC), PAC, and FAC where applicable

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, with a strong understanding of MEP systems.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in MEP construction management within commercial or industrial sectors.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, LEED AP, or equivalent, indicating a commitment to industry standards.
  • Experience working on large-scale construction projects, demonstrating the ability to manage complex MEP systems.
