Job Purpose:
To assist in achieving the department sales, margin, other income and total commercial margin in order to support the company in achieving the sales and bottom line targets.
Key Accountabilities:
- Assists the Category/Assistant Category Manager in the negotiations of the annual supply agreements with the vendors as per the company guidelines.
- In managing product categories, the Category Associate recommends the product categories to the Category manager as well as assisting him/her in implementing the category plan in line with sales budget and forecasts.
- Assists the category manager in negotiating and administrating the cost and retail prices setting (Product Margin).
- Assist the category manager in managing the total commercial margin by negotiating/follow-up the deals with the vendors and ensure the implementation.
- analyzes and follow-up with the vendors the product sourcing process and complete all the formalities.
- Helps in managing the vendor relations by providing periodically feedback to the vendors on their performance.
