Roles & Responsibilities

Site Inspection & Supervision

  • Conduct daily inspections of civil structures including stations, tunnels, viaducts, bridges, depots, and track works.
  • Monitor ongoing maintenance and repair activities to ensure compliance with approved methods and specifications.
  • Ensure all works are executed as per drawings, standards, and contract requirements.

Maintenance Oversight (O&M)

  • Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance of civil infrastructure.
  • Identify defects, deterioration, or safety risks in structures and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure timely closure of maintenance issues and defects.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, international standards, and client requirements.
  • Verify quality of materials, workmanship, and construction methods used in repair works.
  • Maintain inspection records, checklists, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).

Safety Monitoring

  • Ensure adherence to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) regulations and Saudi standards.
  • Identify potential safety hazards in civil works and ensure mitigation measures are implemented.
  • Participate in safety audits, toolbox talks, and incident investigations.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain daily inspection reports and progress updates.
  • Record defects, maintenance logs, and inspection findings.
  • Assist in preparing weekly/monthly reports for the Resident Engineer / O&M Manager.

Coordination & Stakeholder Liaison

  • Coordinate with Resident Engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and O&M teams.
  • Assist in resolving technical issues on-site.
  • Support audits and inspections by clients or regulatory authorities.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education

  • Diploma or Bachelor s Degree in Civil Engineering.

Experience

  • 5 10 years of experience in civil works within metro/railway infrastructure projects.
  • Minimum 3 5 years in Operations & Maintenance (O&M) environment preferred.
  • Experience in Middle East/GCC (preferably Saudi Arabia) is an advantage.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Concrete structures, bridges, tunnels, and station buildings.
    • Track-related civil works (ballasted/ballastless track structures).
    • Structural inspection and maintenance practices.
  • Familiarity with international standards (e.g., ASTM, BS, EN) and Saudi regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and reports.
