Roles & Responsibilities

Design Leadership

• Lead architectural design from initial concept through schematic design, design development, and construction documentation.

• Develop design narratives, concept presentations, and design intent reports that inspire clients and guide project teams.

• Ensure architectural vision is maintained with integrity through all project phases, from sketch to site completion.

• Create and review architectural drawings, specifications, schedules, and technical packages to the highest standards of quality.

• Champion design excellence, contextual sensitivity, and sustainability principles across all project typologies.

  Technical & Delivery Expertise

• Produce and review complete drawing packages including plans, sections, elevations, details, and 3D models across all RIBA / SIA stages.

• Coordinate and integrate architectural design with structural, MEP, landscape, and interior design disciplines seamlessly.

• Review and approve contractor shop drawings, material submittals, mock-ups, and RFIs with precision and authority.

• Conduct regular site inspections during construction to ensure design intent is faithfully executed on the ground.

• Manage all technical compliance requirements including Saudi Building Code (SBC), accessibility, fire safety, and sustainability standards.

  Project & Client Management

• Lead client design presentations, stakeholder workshops, and design review meetings at senior level.

• Manage design programs, deliverable schedules, and resource allocation across multiple simultaneous projects.

• Coordinate directly with Riyadh Municipality, Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs (MOMRA), and relevant authorities for design approvals.

• Manage and develop a team of architects and architectural technicians, conducting regular design critiques and mentoring sessions.

• Collaborate closely with project managers and commercial teams to ensure design decisions are aligned with budget and program.

  Innovation & Studio Culture

• Drive innovation in design process, including adoption of BIM workflows, parametric design, and computational tools.

• Contribute to business development activities including design competitions, capability presentations, and fee proposals.

• Participate in studio culture initiatives: design reviews, CPD sessions, knowledge sharing, and design awards submissions.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architectural Engineering or a closely related field, ensuring a strong foundation in engineering principles.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey technical information clearly to clients and team members.

• Solid understanding of landscape architecture principles and urban design approaches.

• Strong technical skills in reviewing, marking up, and coordinating drawings.

• A collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skills, fostering teamwork and cooperation across multidisciplinary teams.

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in architectural design or engineering, demonstrating a proven track record in successful projects.

• Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) Membership or relevant certifications (e.g., LEED Accredited Professional) to validate expertise in sustainable practices and design.

• Fluency in English is required; Arabic is an advantage.
