Job Brief The Analytics & Merchandising Specialist is responsible for driving on-site commercial performance through data-driven digital merchandising, searchandising optimization, and continuous improvement of the product catalogue and customer funnel. This role focuses on optimizing how customers discover, navigate, and convert on the website by enhancing search results, product recommendations, upsell and cross-sell logic, and category performance. By closely tracking funnel performance and customer behavior, the specialist translates insights into actionable merchandising and content improvements that increase conversion rate, AOV, and sell-through. The role works closely with Content & Merchandising, Digital Marketing, and E-Commerce Operations teams to ensure a seamless, high-performing online shopping experience.
Responsibilities The ideal candidate is commercially minded, analytical, and hands-on, with strong experience in digital merchandising and e-commerce performance optimization within an apparel or retail environment.
Digital Merchandising & Searchandising Optimize on-site search results, filters, sorting rules, and category logic to improve product discoverability. Manage and enhance searchandising strategies including upsell, cross-sell, “related products,†and “frequently bought together.â€Continuously improve product ranking based on performance, stock availability, seasonality, and commercial priorities. Monitor internal search behavior and address zero-result searches and poor-performing keywords. Catalogue Enhancement & Product Visibility Analyze catalogue structure, attributes, and product data to identify gaps impacting discovery and conversion. Ensure product attributes, tags, filters, and taxonomy support effective navigation and search performance. Work with Content & Merchandising teams to enhance PDPs through improved data, recommendations, and content placement. Support catalogue cleanliness and optimization for both customer experience and commercial performance. Funnel Performance Tracking & Conversion Optimization Track and analyze the full e-commerce funnel from landing → PLP → PDP → cart → checkout. Identify drop-off points, friction areas, and conversion blockers across the customer journey. Monitor KPIs such as conversion rate, AOV, bounce rate, exit rate, add-to-cart rate, and checkout success rate. Recommend and support improvements to site structure, merchandising logic, and content placement to improve funnel performance. Performance Analysis & Insights Analyze category, product, and search performance to identify opportunities for growth and optimization. Evaluate the impact of upsell, cross-sell, and recommendation strategies on AOV and revenue. Support A/B testing related to searchandising, merchandising rules, and page layouts. Prepare clear insights and recommendations for weekly and monthly business reviews. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Digital Marketing to ensure traffic lands on optimized categories and search experiences. Coordinate with Fulfillment and Operations teams to align merchandising logic with stock availability and delivery constraints. Support Content & Merchandising teams with performance-driven recommendations and priorities. Act as the on-site performance and funnel expert within the e-commerce team.
Requirements Bachelor’s degree in business, E-commerce, Analytics, Marketing, or a related field.2–4 years of experience in digital merchandising, searchandising, or e-commerce analytics, preferably within apparel or retail. Strong understanding of on-site search, product discovery, and merchandising optimization. Hands-on experience with e-commerce platforms (Magento preferred). Experience analyzing funnel performance using Google Analytics or similar tools. Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into commercial actions. High attention to detail and strong execution skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, performance-driven e-commerce environment.
