Job description
The Workshop Supervisor is responsible for maximizing the operational ability and efficiency of electrical and mechanical systems in machinery, equipment, and vehicles by ensuring the proactive execution of operational maintenance. The role focuses on organizing and training maintenance staff, ensuring scheduled maintenance is completed, maintaining workshop tools and equipment, inspecting systems regularly, and reducing production losses caused by machinery downtime. Responsibilities: Ensure that all maintenance staff are organized and trained to provide required maintenance services. Ensure the proactive maintenance schedule is available to the maintenance staff and that maintenance is carried out as per the schedule. Ensure the workshop building, surrounding areas, tools, and equipment are clean and in workable condition. Ensure electrical and mechanical systems are inspected at regular intervals and associated problems are identified, reported, and rectified on a timely basis. Minimize unexpected problems and reduce production losses due to machinery downtime. Troubleshoot and repair defective parts in a timely manner. Regularly inspect workshop tools and equipment and ensure defective items are identified and replaced. Ensure inspections, maintenance activities, reported issues, and rectifications are properly recorded. Requirements Educational Qualification / Professional Certifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Professional Experience Three years of experience in managing electrical and mechanical systems in machineries, vehicles, generators, etc. Competencies Good written and spoken English. Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems. Able to read, interpret, and draft complex designs. Good team player. Positive attitude.
