Roles & Responsibilities
You will:
- Teach: Inspire and mentor undergraduate students in each of the majors being offered (and to be offered) in philosophy coursework, incorporating the latest advancements and real-world applications. Courses to be taught may include one or more of the following:
- Undergraduate: Introduction to Philosophy
- Academic Assessment: Collect learning assessment data as needed.
- Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development of innovative curricula.
- Mentorship: Guide and advise students, fostering their professional development and preparing them for successful careers.
- Service: Engage in service activities that contribute to the department, college, and university.
- Student Engagement: Support and engage in student focused activities to enhance the vibrant student population at the UNH-Riyadh campus.
Desired Candidate Profile
Ph.D. in Philosophy with college-level teaching experience.
- M.A. in Philosophy with significant college-level teaching experience will be considered.
- Teaching Excellence: At least 2 years of demonstrated excellence in college-level teaching, with a passion for student learning and mentorship.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, to effectively engage with students. Bilingual language skills are a plus.
