Job Title: Quality Assurance Engineer (Head Office Based) Industry: Electrical Contracting (Substations, OHTL, UGC) Experience: 5 - 7 Years Location: Riyadh Job Summary We are seeking a seasoned and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team at the head office. The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years of experience in quality assurance for high-voltage projects, specifically focusing on substations, Overhead Transmission Lines (OHTL), and Underground Cables (UGC). This role is crucial for ensuring that all projects comply with international standards, client specifications, and company quality procedures, overseeing quality from project commencement through to final handover. Key Responsibilities Documentation & Quality Systems: Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Plan (PQP), Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), Method Statements (MOS), and checklists for substations, OHTL, and UGC projects. Documentation Control: Maintain system manuals, technical data sheets, and project dossiers, ensuring all site quality documents are up-to-date and approved before construction. Material Approval & Inspection: Review vendor submittals, material test certificates, and factory acceptance test (FAT) reports for substation equipment (transformers, GIS, panels) and OHTL materials. Site Coordination: Coordinate with site QA/QC inspectors to monitor day-to-day inspection activities, providing support to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications. Non-Conformance Management: Identify, document, and track non-conformances (NCR), performing root cause analysis, and coordinating corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Client Interface: Act as the primary technical point of contact with clients, consultants, and third-party inspectors for quality documentation approvals and project audits. Audit Compliance: Conduct internal quality audits to ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards. Reporting: Prepare comprehensive weekly/monthly quality reports, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs), punch list status, and quality issues for senior management. Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Experience: 5 - 7 years of proven QA/QC experience in Electrical Contracting (Substations up to 400k V, OHTL, and UGC). Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of IEC, IEEE, and SEC standards. Certifications: ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor certification is a plus. Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and document control software; strong analytical and reporting skills.
