Overview of the role
We’re looking for a Sales Manager to lead the Ashok Leyland Trucks sales business in FAMCO KSA (Eastern Region). Reporting to the Country Manager and leading a team of four, you will drive sales volume, revenue, and gross margin while partnering closely with planning, logistics, and after-sales to deliver an exceptional end-to-end customer experience.
What you will do
• Own and deliver the Ashok Leyland unit sales plan for the Eastern Region, ensuring targets for volume, revenue, and gross margin are achieved.
• Lead, coach, and motivate a team of four sales colleagues to deliver strong retail and SME performance.
• Partner with Planning & Analysis to set monthly/quarterly objectives by model and branch and to maximise stock availability.
• Build a robust forecasting approach, providing accurate weekly forecasts and clear insights to senior management.
• Monitor sales progression daily/weekly/monthly and take corrective actions to stay on track.
• Support the new units sales team on trade-in and buyback deals.
• Coordinate with logistics and after-sales teams on Ashok Leyland unit-related matters, ensuring smooth delivery and customer support.
• Develop and maintain KPI reporting (e.g., via SAP/Excel) to track trends and performance.
• Work with retail partners to design and execute effective sales campaigns that deliver the sales plan and address overage stock.
Skills
Required skills to be successful
• Bachelor’s degree (Mechanical Engineering preferred); MBA is an advantage.
• 3+ years’ experience in the automotive industry, ideally Heavy Commercial Vehicles and/or construction requirements; KSA experience is an added advantage.
• Comfortable using systems and tools such as SAP and Excel to run performance reporting and forecasting.
• KSA driving license is preferable.

You’ll join the FAMCO KSA Eastern Region sales function for Ashok Leyland Trucks, working in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment. The role partners closely with Planning & Analysis, logistics, after-sales, and retail partners to ensure customers receive the right product, at the right time, with the right support.
