Roles & Responsibilities
Supervision of a comprehensive MEP systems including HVAC, electrical distribution, and plumbing networks for commercial and industrial facilities
- Review detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation using industry-standard CAD (BIM software is an advantage)
- Conduct thorough analysis of building systems to ensure optimal performance, energy efficiency, and compliance with Saudi building codes and international standards
- Coordinate and collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other multidisciplinary teams to insure the integration of MEP systems seamlessly into overall project design
- Lead and mentor junior engineering staff, providing technical guidance and ensuring adherence to project specifications and quality standards
- Manage and maintain detailed project documentation and progress reports
- Perform site inspections and quality assurance reviews to verify that installations meet design specifications and regulatory requirements
- Stay current with industry advancements, emerging technologies, and evolving building codes to ensure projects incorporate best practices
- Analyze and resolve technical challenges and design conflicts that arise during project execution
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum 10 years of professional experience in MEP engineering, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead engineering capacity
- Advanced proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD) (BIM modeling tools is an advantage (Revit or equivalent)
- Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC design and calculations), electrical systems (load analysis, distribution design), and plumbing systems (water supply, drainage, fire protection)
- Strong understanding of building codes, standards, and regulations specific to Saudi Arabia and the Gulf region
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent professional certification (preferred)
- Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) coordination and clash detection (preferred)
- Knowledge of MEP systems integration and building automation systems (preferred)
- Familiarity with construction administration and site supervision processes
