Job Summary The Rig Company Man represents the operating company on the drilling site and is responsible for supervising all drilling and related operations. This role ensures that activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and regulatory standards.
Supervise and coordinate all drilling, completion, and workover activities on site
Ensure operations are conducted in accordance with approved drilling programs
Monitor daily drilling performance, costs, and progress
Enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards
Act as the primary liaison between the operator, drilling contractor, and service companies
Approve operational procedures and authorize changes when required
Ensure proper maintenance and use of drilling equipment
Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
Maintain accurate daily reports and operational records
Manage logistics including materials, personnel, and equipment supply
Desired Candidate Profile
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (preferred)
Extensive experience in drilling operations (typically 10+ years)
Prior experience as a Driller, Toolpusher, or Assistant Company Man
Strong knowledge of drilling techniques, well control, and rig operations
Valid well control certification (e.g., IWCF or IADC)
