The Sales Consultant is responsible for driving rental revenue growth by developing new business, managing existing customer relationships, and promoting the company’s rental equipment and services. In addition to sales responsibilities, the role supports timely collection of outstanding payments by coordinating closely with the Credit Control and Finance teams. Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Salesperson ensures profitable rental growth while maintaining strong cash flow, credit discipline, and customer satisfaction. The role requires a proactive, target driven individual with strong communication, negotiation, and customer management skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Promote and sell rental equipment and services in line with company pricing policies and commercial strategy.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
• Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers to maximise repeat business.
• Prepare and follow up on rental quotations, contracts, and customer proposals.
• Achieve assigned rental sales targets, utilisation objectives, and margin requirements.
• Conduct regular site visits to customers to assess requirements and promote solutions.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
• Ensure accurate rental contracts are raised and approved in accordance with company policies.
• Coordinate with Hire Desk, Operations, and Service teams to ensure timely delivery, collection, and availability of equipment. ? Ensure customer documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant (contracts, delivery notes, approvals).
• Act as the primary point of contact for customers on rental-related matters.
• Support the Credit Control and Finance teams in collecting outstanding customer payments.
• Follow up with customers on overdue invoices and outstanding balances.
• Assist in resolving payment disputes, missing documentation, or invoice discrepancies.
• Ensure customers comply with agreed credit terms and payment schedules.
• Provide regular updates on customer payment status and potential risks to management.
• Participate in customer visits for payment collection when required.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline forecasts.
• Submit regular sales, rental utilisation, and collection status reports to management.
• Ensure CRM and internal systems are updated with correct customer and contract data.
• Coordinate with internal departments to support operational and financial accuracy.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field.
• Minimum 2–4 years’ experience in rental, equipment hires, construction, or industrial sales.
• Strong understanding of rental operations and customer contract management.
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• Computer literate with proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word.
• Valid KSA driving licence.
• Good written and spoken English.
