Rawafid is looking for a proactive and experienced Engineering Manager to lead and manage our multidisciplinary engineering teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all engineering projects from planning through execution, ensuring delivery of high-quality engineering solutions that meet client requirements and industry standards. You will coordinate with various departments, manage resources efficiently, and drive continuous improvement in engineering processes. Your leadership will foster collaboration, innovation, and adherence to safety and quality standards across all projects.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and monitor engineering activities to meet project schedules, milestones, and client requirements Review designs, calculations, specifications, and engineering outputs to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and best practices Manage engineers and technical staff, assign workloads, develop capabilities, and maintain productivity Monitor engineering budgets, manpower utilization, subcontractor costs, and identify efficiency opportunities Implement QA/QC processes to ensure deliverables are accurate, coordinated, and fit for purpose Identify technical, commercial, and schedule risks; manage design changes and mitigate impacts Interface with clients, contractors, authorities, vendors, and internal departments to align expectations and resolve issues Ensure engineering activities comply with HSE requirements, contractual obligations, and applicable regulations Improve workflows, systems, lessons learned processes, and adoption of digital tools such as BIM, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or ERP systems Ensure effective coordination between all disciplines (civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, process, instrumentation, etc.) so that interfaces are identified early, clashes are resolved, and integrated solutions are achieved Develop engineering execution plans, schedules, deliverable registers, and resource plans to ensure projects are completed within agreed timelines and milestones Ensure all designs and engineering activities comply with relevant local authority requirements, statutory regulations, international standards, and applicable codes Track engineering progress against schedule, identify delays, bottlenecks, or underperformance, and implement corrective recovery plans where necessary Lead engineers and technical staff, allocate workloads, mentor personnel, and maintain accountability for deliverables Manage design changes, scope variations, and revisions in a controlled manner while minimizing cost and schedule impact Monitor engineering budgets, staffing utilization, and subcontractor performance to achieve efficient delivery
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; Master's degree preferred Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience with at least 5 years in a managerial role Must be registered and certified with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) Professional Engineer (PE) certification is preferred Proven track record in managing multidisciplinary engineering teams and complex projects Strong knowledge of engineering principles, project management methodologies, engineering software tools, and industry standards Experience in budgeting, resource allocation, and procurement processes Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making capabilities
