Job Purpose:
The Cybersecurity Assurance Specialist is responsible for supporting the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of cybersecurity controls to ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements. The role focuses on identifying risks, supporting incident response, and enhancing the overall security posture.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the monitoring and analysis of security alerts and events across systems and networks* Assist in incident response activities including detection, investigation, and reporting* Conduct vulnerability assessments and support remediation tracking* Review and validate the effectiveness of security controls* Monitor compliance with internal security policies and regulatory requirements* Support SIEM tools monitoring and log analysis (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel)* Assist in threat detection activities and basic threat intelligence analysis* Coordinate with IT and relevant teams to ensure timely remediation of security issues* Prepare basic security reports and documentation for management review

Qualifications & Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, IT, or related field* 1–3 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC, or information security roles

Basic understanding of:
* Security Operations (SOC)* SIEM tools* Incident response lifecycle* Vulnerability management* Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NCA, NIST) is a plus* Certifications are a plus (e.g., Security+, CEH, or similar)
