The Data Governance Lead will be responsible for establishing, implementing, and continuously improving the enterprise-wide data governance framework. This role ensures data quality, integrity, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, while enabling business value through trusted and well-managed data assets.

Responsibilities Design, implement, and govern the organization’s enterprise Data Governance framework aligned with industry standards (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK, DCAM) Define and enforce data ownership, stewardship, and accountability models across business and technology teams Establish and maintain key governance artifacts including Business Glossary, Data Dictionary, and Metadata Catalog Ensure compliance with KSA regulatory requirements, including Saudi Insurance Authority, Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL), and Ministry of Health (MOH) Develop, track, and report Data Governance KPIs, metrics, and maturity models Collaborate with business stakeholders, data owners, and IT teams to drive data quality, consistency, and standardization Lead data governance councils, working groups, and awareness initiatives across the organization Oversee implementation and adoption of data governance tools and platforms (e.g., Collibra, Alation, Dataplex) Identify risks related to data management and ensure mitigation through governance policies and controls

Requirements:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field8+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or data stewardship roles Strong understanding of data governance frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK and DCAMProven experience working with KSA regulatory frameworks, including Insurance Authority, PDPL, and MOH guidelines Hands-on experience with metadata management and data catalog tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation, Google Dataplex, or similar) Strong knowledge of data quality, data lineage, and master data management principles Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills Ability to translate regulatory and business requirements into actionable data policies
