Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) Engineer/Administrator with strong expertise in big data ecosystem tools and cluster management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, optimizing, and maintaining large-scale CDP environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
Key Responsibilities Design, deploy, and manage Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) clusters in production environments Administer and optimize big data components including:HDFS, Hive, Impala Apache Spark, YARNApache Kafka, NiFiHBase, Kudu, Phoenix Apache Ozone, Iceberg Solr, Hue, Hive Metastore Manage and configure Cloudera AI environments Implement and maintain data security frameworks:Apache Ranger policies Kerberos authentication Perform cluster monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning Optimize Spark jobs, queries, and resource utilization Handle workload management and capacity planning Design and execute data ingestion and processing pipelines Ensure data governance, compliance, and audit readiness, especially for BFSI environments Implement best practices for:Logging & monitoring Backup & disaster recovery High availability & scalability Required Skills & Expertise Technical Skills Strong hands-on experience with Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) architecture and administration Deep expertise in:HDFS, Hive, Impala Apache Spark, YARNKafka, NiFiHBase, Kudu, Phoenix Apache Ozone, Iceberg Solr, Hue, Hive Metastore Experience with Cloudera AI tools and ecosystem
