Roles & Responsibilities
Data Management & Governance
Design and operationalize data governance frameworks, including ownership, stewardship, and policies
Implement master data management (MDM) and reference data management capabilities
Establish metadata management, data cataloging, and lineage practices across the platform
Data Quality
Define data quality dimensions, KPIs, and rule sets for critical data domains
Implement data quality monitoring, profiling, and remediation workflows
Drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement of data quality issues
Data Pipelines & Operations
Design and oversee end-to-end data pipelines that support governance, MDM, and analytics use cases
Ensure pipelines are reliable, observable, and aligned with data SLAs
Partner with data and integration engineers to embed governance and quality controls into pipelines
Stakeholder Engagement
Work with business owners and data stewards to define critical data elements and policies
Drive change management and adoption of data management practices across business and technology teams
Desired Candidate Profile
Requirements
Technical
6+ years of experience across data management, data governance, and data engineering
Hands-on experience with data management tooling, such as:
Data catalogs (Collibra, Alation, Informatica EDC, Microsoft Purview, or similar)
MDM platforms (Informatica MDM, Reltio, SAP MDG, or similar)
Data quality tools (Informatica DQ, Ataccama, or similar)
Strong experience designing and operating data pipelines on modern cloud data platforms
Proficiency in SQL; familiarity with Python or Spark is a plus
Experience with orchestration tools (Airflow, ADF, Control-M) and observability for data
Understanding of data modeling, metadata standards, and reference architectures
Industry / Domain (Highly Preferred)
Experience in mining, metals, heavy industry, oil & gas, utilities, or other large industrial sectors is a strong plus
Exposure to ERP (SAP) master data, asset / equipment hierarchies, and supply chain data is highly valued
Prior experience in the GCC or Saudi Arabia is an advantage
Governance & Compliance Awareness
Strong understanding of data governance frameworks (DAMA-DMBOK or equivalent)
Familiarity with data privacy, classification, and regulatory requirements (including local data residency considerations)
Experience embedding controls into operational data pipelines
Soft Skills
Strong stakeholder management and ability to drive cross-functional change
Structured, analytical, and outcome-oriented
Clear communication with both technical and business audiences
Education & Certifications
Preferred:
Degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Data Engineering, or related field
Certifications such as CDMP (DAMA), Collibra, Informatica, or cloud data certifications are a strong advantage
Additional Requirements
Onsite presence in Riyadh required
Experience working in large enterprise or government environments
Ability to operate in a multi-vendor delivery ecosystem
