We are looking for a dynamic and experienced SRE and Development Operations (Dev Ops) Senior Manager to lead our Site Reliability Engineering and Dev Ops practices. This senior leadership role is responsible for building and driving a high-performing SRE/Dev Ops function that ensures maximum reliability, scalability, automation, and operational excellence across all technology platforms. The successful candidate will manage a team of 12 SRE and Dev Ops engineers, partner closely with development teams, and play a key role in modernizing the bank’s technology delivery model in line with global best practices and Saudi regulatory standards. Job title: SRE and Development Operations (Dev Ops) Senior Manager Location: Riyadh, Saudi Type: Yearly renewable role Key Responsibilities SRE & Dev Ops Leadership Define and execute the enterprise-wide SRE and Dev Ops strategy, including SLOs, error budgets, toil reduction, and automation roadmaps. Champion reliability engineering principles to achieve high availability, resilience, and performance for critical banking systems. Drive adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, observability, and automated testing frameworks. Team Management Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 12 SRE, Dev Ops, and Platform Engineers. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, blameless post-mortems, and knowledge sharing. Build talent pipelines and career development paths for the SRE/Dev Ops practice. Platform & Delivery Excellence Partner with development teams to embed Dev Ops practices (shift-left, Git Ops, automated deployments). Oversee design, implementation, and optimization of cloud-native platforms, container orchestration (Kubernetes), and modern observability stacks. Ensure secure, compliant, and highly available infrastructure for core banking, digital channels, and payment systems. Stakeholder Collaboration & Governance Work closely with Architecture, Development, Security, and Business teams to align operational standards with enterprise goals. Participate in Architecture Review Board and Change Advisory Board meetings. Provide leadership on incident management, capacity planning, disaster recovery, and chaos engineering initiatives. Strategic Initiatives Drive cloud migration, platform modernization, and automation programs. Support digital transformation, open banking, and AI/ML platform reliability requirements. Ensure adherence to SAMA regulations, data residency, and Vision 2030 technology objectives. Requirements & Qualifications Experience12+ years of progressive experience in IT, with at least 6–8 years in SRE, Dev Ops, or Platform Engineering roles. Strong Banking or Fin Tech domain experience is mandatory. Proven track record leading SRE/Dev Ops teams in regulated environments and working with agile development squads. Education & Certifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred). Relevant certifications such as SRE (Google), Dev Ops (AWS Certified Dev Ops Engineer, CKAD/CKA, Azure Dev Ops, Terraform, etc.) are highly desirable. Leadership Level Demonstrated ability to operate at Senior Manager / Head of SRE/Dev Ops level. Key Skills & Competencies Deep expertise in SRE principles (SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, toil automation) and Dev Ops toolchains. Strong hands-on knowledge of: Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins/Argo CD/Git Hub Actions, Prometheus/Grafana/ELK, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP). Experience with high-availability, low-latency systems in financial services. Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
