Job Overview:The Supply Planning Manager leads supply planning for assigned categories and Class A suppliers, ensuring on‑time, in‑full product availability to meet sales, promotion, and innovation plans at optimal inventory and working capital levels. The role owns supplier planning policies, replenishment strategies, and the tactical planning cycle for Class A suppliers, who require weekly interaction and close collaboration to manage complexity and risk across markets.
Working closely with Demand Planning, Sourcing, Logistics, Quality, Finance, and distributors, the Supply Planning Manager provides a clear, forward‑looking supply view, leads scenario planning and exception management, and drives continuous improvement in OTIF, inventory health, and network efficiency

Key Responsibilities:Strategy, scope, and governance Execute supply planning policies and strategies in line with Operations / Supply Chain strategy for the assigned categories and Class A suppliers. Own the operational scope of supply, availability and deployment planning, inventory and expiry management, capacity utilization, and service level for assigned SKUs. Lead the tactical planning cycle (ITP, SMR inputs) from the supply side, including SMR readiness and contribution to IBP forums and Its feeders (DCR, BCM, SPCR, SMR) Lead Strategic and Improvement Projects in the supply planning area. Support L6/L7 planners for Suppliers B/C.

Supplier policy and rules management (Class ALead periodic supplier policy reviews (consumption trends, variability, routes, lead times, SLA performance) and define / refine time fences (firm, trade‑off, forecast zones), MOQs, and other key parameters. Co‑lead Supplier Capability Reviews (SCR) for Class A suppliers, aligning on policy changes and inventory/lead‑time implications. Own the master archive of supplier policy settings and ensure correct implementation and periodic audit in SAP and collaboration platforms
Material replenishment planning Own the documented replenishment strategy for assigned categories and suppliers, including triggers, reorder rules, collaboration frequency, and system settings. Share updated forecasts and fence‑period views with VMI and strategic suppliers; validate their replenishment plans and resolve gaps. Refresh requirements at least bi‑weekly (and after significant forecast changes), review MRP exceptions, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. Issue POs to suppliers with clear required delivery dates and rationale for exceptions; review confirmations, approve or escalate when service or SLA are at risk. Monitor scheduled vs actual deliveries, proactively identify risks, and lead expediting and escalation for critical materials and SKUs.
Exception management and scenario planning Review exceptional requests (forecast changes within firm zone, fast‑track initiatives, promotions, supply shocks) and identify solution options with clear risks and trade‑offs. Build and maintain what‑if scenarios with triggers, lead times, and owners; align them with Demand Planning and downstream Warehouse / Distributor teams. Lead allocation execution for constrained SKUs (e.g., crop‑based products), balancing markets and channels in line with agreed priorities. Capture and re‑use learnings from scenario execution for future planning
Inventory management Own regular review and recommendation of inventory parameters (safety stock/DFC, reorder points, MOQ, etc.) based on variability, service targets, lead times, and cash objectives. Identify SKUs / suppliers where more agile settings are feasible to optimize working capital without compromising service. Lead weekly inventory health reviews for assigned SKUs; reschedule replenishments for excess and accelerate for low risk stock to stay within tolerance windows. Lead non performing inventory management (ageing, near expiry), including an early warning “bell ringer” process and cross functional depletion plans. Partner with QA on timely release and on investigations for quality related blocks, and with warehouses on damage trends and capacity constraints
Capacity management and balancing Work with Operational Excellence (OE) to understand capacity constraints by SKU/group and implement short‑term capacity utilization actions (balancing, alternative suppliers, timing shifts). This also cover the capacity management for B/C suppliers managed by L6/L7 planners. Execute capacity leveling plans for seasonal peaks, promotions, and pipe‑fills through pre‑production and stock‑ups within approved inventory limits. Escalate sustained gaps in capacity utilization to Sourcing / supplier relationship owners
NPD and promotions Own SND / network parameter setup for new SKUs (codes, routing, lead time, inventory, PIPO settings). This also cover the NPD management for B/C suppliers managed by L6/L7 planners. Lead supply planning for launches and promotions for assigned categories, including what‑if assessments, risk identification, and mitigation proposals to project leaders. Own PIPO planning and tracking for new products to minimize remnants and ensure clean transitions
Systems, reporting, and continuous improvement Maintain accurate SKU master data and planning parameters (MRP, SND) and support quarterly network parameter reviews. Provide timely, accurate reporting on availability, OTIF, inventory coverage, non‑performing stock, and PIPO effectiveness. Apply continuous improvement tools (e.g., VSM, root‑cause analysis) to improve reliability, lead time, and cash performance
Minimum Requirements:
Education:Bachelor’s degree in engineering, management, and/or economics or any related discipline
Experience:4-6 years of experience in Planning or any SC roles (Supply, logistics, Initiatives, Demand, Sourcing)
Skills:Thinking/Analysis Leadership Communication
Languages: English Arabic
