GIS Expert is responsible for contributing to GIS services to obtain business needs related to GIS projects. S/He is responsible to implement the Department’s business plan, develop and promote the business, project deliverables, enforce policies and procedures, ensure quality, and manage cost. The jobholder is also responsible to attract, develop and standardize GIS capabilities related to GIS services across the firm. S/He shall stay abreast of the latest trends and developments in the GIS space and represent the firm in the professional GIS community and international forums. Develops comprehensive work plans and timelines for all stages of GIS projects, defining scope, schedule, and procedures. Estimates budgets and identifies staffing needs based on project scope and timelines. Assesses and recommends necessary hardware and software solutions. Manages the collection of field data and evaluates its relevance and applicability. Designs or supervises the creation of GIS, database, and analytical processes, including system development tailored to project requirements. Oversees the design and implementation of GIS automation processes, customizing application code as needed. Applies various spatial analysis techniques to identify patterns and trends in geographic data. Integrates hardware, software, and data while evaluating the precision and accuracy of GIS data for project relevance. Troubleshoots complex hardware and software issues, developing effective workarounds. Conducts quality assurance on GIS deliverables and supervises the execution of tasks by team members. Develops detailed work plans and schedules for all phases of a GIS project. Helps to define scope of work, schedule, and procedures for project assignments.

Bachelor’s Degree in Geography Information System or related discipline  Overall 15+ years of GIS services Knowledge of GIS Services project deliverables Ability to work effectively in a team environment Good communication and presentation skills, interpersonal skills Good planning, organization and presentation capability Proficiency in spoken and written English; Arabic is an advantage
