Job title:Market Access Specialist The Market Access Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring successful market access, reimbursement, and enlisting of the Bausch+Lomb portfolio within the KSA's healthcare ecosystem. The role involves working with the MOH, CHI, NHI and other key private and public stakeholders to ensure optimal product pricing, reimbursement, and market penetration. This MAS will be responsible for navigating the KSA healthcare system's complex landscape and supporting the company’s objectives.
Key responsibilities:
Reimbursement and Pricing Strategy Develop and execute comprehensive market access strategies tailored to the KSA healthcare environment, ensuring product reimbursement across public and private sectors. Ensure compliance with local regulations in all pricing, reimbursement, and access submissions. Collaborate with relevant internal stakeholders to develop a compelling value story for products. Develop and convey the value proposition for each B+L asset to the relevant external access stakeholders. Insurance & Healthcare Stakeholder Engagement Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders in the insurance companies. Engage with healthcare providers, hospitals, and insurance companies to support the inclusion of products in insurance plans and formularies. Lead negotiations with major insurers to ensure favorable reimbursement rates for the Bausch+Lomb portfolio. Monitor policy changes at both CHI and IA and provide insights to adapt market access strategies accordingly. Regulatory and Product Enlisting Coordinate with regulatory affairs teams to ensure timely product registration with the KSA authorities. Facilitate product listings within the formularies of key hospitals, clinics, and purchasing bodies. Support the submission and approval of dossiers for products in public healthcare systems, ensuring alignment with their clinical guidelines and reimbursement criteria. Collaborate with hospitals and health providers to gather real-world evidence (RWE) for products to support access negotiations and dossier submissions. Public and Private Sector Market Access Develop strategies to access both the public healthcare systems (MOH, KKESH, MODA, and NG) and private healthcare providers. Ensure products are included in both government and private insurance formularies. Work closely with healthcare provider networks to ensure product availability in key accounts across the KSA. Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) Support in generating economic models, cost-effectiveness studies, and budget impact analyses to demonstrate the value of Bausch+Lomb products to payers and insurance bodies. Prepare health technology assessment (HTA) dossiers for submission to the KSA regulatory and insurance bodies. Engage with healthcare decision-makers to present pharmacoeconomic and clinical outcomes data to facilitate favorable access and pricing decisions. Policy Monitoring and Advocacy Monitor healthcare policy developments and reforms across the KSA, and evolving insurance regulations. Work with internal teams to advocate for favorable health policies that support access to innovative therapies and ensure fair market access for the Bausch+Lomb portfolio. Engage in industry working groups and stakeholder meetings, representing the company’s position on key healthcare access issues.
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, Medicine, Health Economics, or a related field. A master’s degree in health economics, Pharmacoeconomics, or Public Health is a plus.7 years of experience in pharmaceutical industries, 2+ years of them as a market access , pricing, or reimbursement within the KSA healthcare system. Deep knowledge of KSA healthcare systems, including (SFDA, MOH, NUPCO) Understanding of pricing and reimbursement processes with public and private insurance providers. Strong communication and negotiation skills with proven experience engaging with KSA governmental authorities and private insurance bodies. Fluent in English; Arabic proficiency is a plus.
