🎯 Role Purpose Responsible for planning, coordinating, controlling, and assuring all lifting operations across the NCRD package. Ensure every lift is executed safely, efficiently, and fully compliant with project procedures, HSE requirements, and airport-interface restrictions.🛠 Key Duties & Responsibilities Develop and maintain the Lifting Management Plan, lifting register, critical lift register, and crane utilization schedule. Review and control lifting plans, method statements, task risk assessments, rigging studies, and lifting sketches prior to execution. Ensure lift planning considers load weight, center of gravity, crane selection, lifting accessories, ground conditions, access routes, exclusion zones, weather limits, communication methods, and emergency arrangements. Plan and coordinate heavy, complex, tandem, blind, night-time, and non-routine lifts. Ensure no critical lift proceeds without an approved written lift plan. Coordinate crane siting, erection, dismantling, relocation, climbing, and demobilization in line with site constraints and construction phasing. Verify cranes, lifting accessories, and lifting points are certified, inspected, and fit for purpose. Confirm operators, riggers, signalers, and lift supervisors are trained, competent, and authorized. Lead lifting coordination meetings with subcontractors and interface with construction, logistics, plant, temporary works, and HSE teams. Coordinate with airport-interface and security stakeholders on crane heights, restricted areas, access windows, and operational constraints. Conduct field inspections, lifting audits, and pre-lift briefings. Stop unsafe lifting activities immediately and ensure corrective actions are implemented. Maintain lifting records (certifications, inspections, permits, pre-use checks, lift plans, and closeout actions). Prepare weekly and monthly lifting reports for project management.🎓 Minimum Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction, or related discipline. Minimum 14 years’ experience in lifting operations on major construction, infrastructure, or aviation projects. At least 3 years in a lead lifting coordination / planning role. Strong knowledge of crane load charts, rigging arrangements, lifting studies, method statements, and temporary works drawings. Proven experience in multi-contractor environments with complex logistics and interfaces. Fluent English (Arabic is an advantage).✅ Preferred Certifications Appointed Person certification. Recognized rigging or lifting supervision certification. Heavy lift planning or crane safety training. NEBOSH / IOSH or equivalent HSE qualification (advantage).
