Roles & Responsibilities

JOB OBJECTIVE

To ensure the reliable, safe, and efficient operation and field equipment by performing effective electrical and mechanical maintenance activities, minimizing downtime, support at new product introduction activities and supporting continuous improvement initiatives while complying with safety and maintenance standards.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical equipment faults.
  • Execute preventive and corrective maintenance tasks according to maintenance schedules.
  • Report on all equipment issues, breakdowns, and recurring faults to the Maintenance Manager in a timely and clear manner.
  • Use technical drawings, manuals, and diagnostic tools to perform maintenance activities accurately.
  • Support machinery installation, commissioning, and upgrades.
  • Respond effectively to emergency breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and company policies.
  • Record maintenance activities, spare parts usage, and equipment condition accurately.
  • Coordinate with engineers and supervisors to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Support root-cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Above 5 years

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Hands-on experience with industrial machinery and production equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills using electrical and mechanical diagnostic tools.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and maintenance best practices.
  • Ability to work under pressure and respond effectively to emergency situations.
  • Good teamwork and collaboration skills across maintenance, engineering, and operations teams.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, tools, and equipment.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation.

HSE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Take care of your own safety and the safety of others as far as practicable.
  • To be aware of and play an active role in the achievement of Thales HSE policy & objectives.
  • Comply with local HSE laws and legislation.
  • To use safety equipment (including PPE) as required and intended.
  • Lead by example and actively encourage departments to look at ways to conserve water & energy, minimize the generation of waste, and encourage recycling.
  • Everyone within Thales has the right to stop work if they believe that their activities may affect their health and safety or that of others. In this circumstance, such conditions must be reported immediately to their line manager and the HSE department.
