Senior Designer (FF&E Specialist) Position Overview The Senior Designer (FF&E Specialist) is responsible for executing and coordinating activities related to the selection, documentation, and specification of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) across project phases. The role supports the design and technical teams by ensuring that selected materials meet the required design intent, technical specifications, project budgets, and procurement timelines. The Senior Designer (FF&E) plays a key role in preparing material trackers, schedules, mockups, and submittals while coordinating with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure smooth project execution. Key Responsibilities Administrative and Coordination Responsibilities Perform assigned tasks in alignment with departmental goals, project timelines, and required quality standards. Coordinate with design, technical, and procurement teams to ensure workflow continuity and project alignment. Compile and organize project-related documentation to support design and operational activities. Monitor task progress and report risks, issues, or delays to the Senior FF&E Specialist or Project Manager. Support the implementation of assigned project activities and ensure accurate documentation of outcomes. Assist in collecting and tracking performance data related to assigned tasks and deliverables. Participate in internal meetings, providing progress updates and contributing to process improvement discussions. Ensure adherence to internal procedures and timely submission of required deliverables. Proactively contribute to improving efficiency and work methods where applicable. Perform any other duties assigned by the direct manager in line with business needs. Technical Responsibilities Review design handovers, drawings, and project documentation to identify FF&E material requirements. Prepare and maintain FF&E Material Trackers, Furniture Schedules, and Material Coding Sheets in coordination with BIM and technical teams. Conduct market research to collect data on pricing, availability, and supplier capabilities for proposed materials. Prepare descriptive and visual inputs related to FF&E materials for technical proposals and presentations. Support the development of project mockups, prototypes, and material samples to validate design intent and compliance. Compile and submit material submittal packages, including datasheets, samples, and supplier documentation. Coordinate with procurement teams regarding price verification, supplier selection, and long-lead items. Ensure all FF&E documentation is properly recorded, organized, and submitted according to project timelines. Qualifications Educational Qualification Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field. Professional Experience Minimum 2–4 years of practical experience in FF&E operations, interior design projects, or vendor coordination. Certifications / Courses (Preferred) FF&E Specification Writing Product Sourcing and Vendor Coordination Vendor Liaison or Procurement Coordination Languages Excellent proficiency in Arabic and English (reading, writing, and speaking).
