*The Role*
PPM are looking for a *Sales Engineer*. You will be the primary technical resource for our field sales team, responsible for identifying, quoting, and closing complex liquid management projects. Whether it’s industrial wastewater, chemical processing, or high-volume irrigation, you will ensure our pumps and systems are engineered for peak performance and reliability.
*Key Responsibilities*
- Technical Consulting: Analyze customer requirements and fluid properties (viscosity, temperature, corrosiveness) to select the optimal pump technology (Centrifugal, PD, Diaphragm, etc.).
- System Design: Collaborate with client engineering teams to integrate our equipment into their existing liquid management infrastructure.
- Business Development: Identify new market opportunities and manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to technical commissioning.
- Proposal Engineering: Prepare detailed technical quotes, ensuring all specifications meet local regulations and client standards.
- After-Market Support: Provide technical troubleshooting and guidance for existing installations to ensure long-term client satisfaction.
Skills
*What You Bring to the Table*
- The Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Civil Engineering (or equivalent field experience).
- The Experience: 3–5+ years in technical sales, specifically within the pump or valve industry.
- Fluid Fluency: A deep understanding of fluid mechanics, pressure drops, and system head curves.
- The "Hunter" Mentality: A proven track record of hitting sales targets and building a robust pipeline.
Communication: The ability to translate "engineer-speak" into clear business value for stakeholders.
*Technical Skills Preferred*
- Proficiency in CAD (AutoCAD/SolidWorks) for system layout reviews.Knowledge of industry standards.
